The history of ABS Minel Transformers (ABS Minel Transformatori) dates from the company’s foundation near Belgrade in 1945. The enterprise has been a subsidiary of ABS Electro since 2008. Currently the company employs over 400 people.
ABS Minel Transformers manufactures all types of oil transformers up to 420 kV, 410 MVA:
- medium voltage power distribution transformers;
- large-power and medium-power transformers and power link autotransformers up to 420 kV, 400 MVA;
- generator-transformer units of 420 kV, 410 МVA;
- special-purpose transformers for industry and railways;
- oil chokes for short-circuit current limitation .
The company also offers services for retrofitting and reengineering power transformers up to 420 kV of various design concepts, including:
- engineering diagnostics of power transformers;
- laboratory tests of power transformers;
- maintenance and reengineering of power transformers that have failed while in use;
- on-site overhaul of power transformers;
- assembly and installation of power transformers.
The company key products and services are the manufacture and overhaul of medium voltage transformers. The production plant’s capacity of 1,500 MVA is currently being expanded. The company aims to increase capacity to 10,000 MVA within the next 5 years.
