Based in Moscow, ABS Rus managing company is located in the modern Novosuschevsky business center. Besides the managing company, the business center also accommodates the offices of ABS Energoproekt, ABS Energoneft, as well as branch offices of VNIIR, ABS Elektrotekhnika, ABS ZEiM Automation and ABS Electro training center.

The geographical location of the managing company is not accidental: Moscow is an important transportation hub as well as a political, economic, cultural and scientific center of Russia. Major companies have their head offices namely in Moscow, even though their production facilities are located thousands of kilometers away from the capital. The city is a large centre of machine-building, instrument-making, ferrous and non-ferrous, chemical, light and polygraphic industry. Nearly half of all Russian banks are registered in Russia.

ABS Electro major production capacity is based in the Chuvash Republic, located in the Volga Federal District. Some of the leading electrical power industry enterprises of Russia such as ABS ZEiM Automation, the All-Russian Research Institute of Relay Manufacture (VNIIR), ABS Elektrotekhnika and branches of ABS Rus and ABS Energoproekt, which are part of ABS Electro, are located in Cheboksary, the capital of the Chuvash Republic.

Cheboksary is the largest Russian center of the electrical industry and relay manufacture. ABS Electro has a considerable influence on the development of this region as a whole, and also contributes to its development through implementing non-commercial projects related to sport, culture and education. The company ranks first in the Chuvash Republic in the volume of taxation and commitment to social responsibility. The Chuvash Republic administration has expressed its gratitude to ABS Electro for its significant contribution to regional economic development on more than one occasion.

It is in Cheboksary, where the company plants employ the largest number of workers and employees, that the holding company carries out its most important social and charity activities, thus enhancing its authority as a socially responsible company.

In 2008 a ceremony was held in Cheboksary for laying the first stone in the foundation of ABS Tekhnopark, which is to be the first technological park in the Chuvash Republic.

ABS Technopark, a socially significant facility, was conceived as a complex with a unified concept, management and territory, original infrastructure and all necessary conditions for successful business. It was designed with due regard for innovative technology requirements. ABS Tekhnopark, an international class project created by a team of world-class professionals, is innovative for the whole Russian electrotechnical equipment market. Total investments made in the first stage of construction alone made up 2.5 billion rubles. The total area of production premises has been designed to cover over 120,000 square meters.

ABS Electro development in the Northwest Federal District is an area of strategic importance in the holding company’s regional policy. The holding company possesses powerful engineering and commercial capacity in St. Petersburg. ABS Electro has branches of the companies ABS Rus, ABS Elektrotekhnika, ABS ZEiM Automation and ABS Energoproekt in the city on the Neva River. These branches sell high-technology electrotechnical equipment manufactured by ABS Electro plants in Russia and Serbia, as well as carry out major multipurpose industry projects.

ABS Electro personnel strive to expand and strengthen the foothold gained in the electrotechnical market while facing intense competition from the leading Russian and European manufacturers and suppliers of engineering services.
The VNIIR branch has been producing marine low-voltage switchgears and marine automation equipment at its well-equipped assembling plant since 2002. In 2010 ABS Electro plans to proceed with expansion of production capacity at ABS Elektrotekhnika for component parts for switchboard cabinets, as well as construct a plant assembling switchgears with SF6 insulation from 110 kV up to 330kV. Investments into the above-mentioned projects aimed at expanding ABS Electro’ operations in the northwest region are roughly estimated at 400 mln rubles.

ABS Electro operations in the Northwest Federal District extend well beyond the polar circle. ABS Energoneft services oil and gas production facilities located at a radius of 280 km from Naryan-Mar. Operations are carried out at the Varandey, Perevoznoye, Uzhnoye Hylchuju and other oil fields. There are 73 serviced isolated power plants with the total power of 40 mV.

The ABS Electro sales network has a well developed regional structure. ABS Electro representative offices are found in many cities of Russia and former Soviet republics (Belorussia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan). Representative offices have been opened in Tolyatti, Perm, Kazan, Cherepovets, Krasnodar, Lipetsk and Chelyabinsk. Many customers have appreciated the benefits of cooperating with the company branches and representatives in different regions.

ABS Electro widely practices conducting traveling seminars for the representatives of the commercial, technical and service departments of potential customers located in various regions of Russia. In 2008 alone representatives of the holding company’s enterprises visited over 200 cities of Russia to hold over 250 thematic workshops and presentations, thereby addressing a target audience of 3000 people.
