VNIIR has fulfilled the order for Gosmorspassluzhba

Saint – Petersburg branch office of VNIIR ( part of ABS Electro) delivered a set of electric equipment for the main ship of rescue and salvage ship, which is constructed by Neva shipbuilding ship-repair yard for the order of Gosmorspassluzhba RF.
The order included a set of 400 V switchgear and Integrated system of ship hardware control (ISSHC). The price of the contract was more than 50 million rubles. In the tender for fulfilling this order the institute upstaged first-rate suppliers of shipboard equipment from Norway and England.
The director of VNIIR Saint – Petersburg branch office Alexander Kozlov distinguished the unique character of the fulfilled project: “It’s the most complicated and large ISSHC made by us for the moment. Nobody in Russia performed such type of works. The system is supposed for control of all ship propeller system, ship systems, mechanisms and power stations. The ISSHC for the first time includes developed by us system of ship security control, meeting the requirements of acting international rules and conventions about ship security.”
