VNIIR–Progress performed new developments at IDMEE 2010

07.07.2010

From June 30 to July 4, 2010 VNIIR – Progress participated in IV International defense and military equipment exhibition IDMEE 2010 in the town of Zhukovsky (Moscow region).

VNIIR – Progress performed the electric equipment for   land-based, naval and space hardware. The enterprise demonstrated a range of new electro technical products for a new generation of defense and military equipment of Russia.

The complex of standardized equipment for military purposes included automatic circuit breakers of ВА15‑063 series, electromagnetic starters of ПМ17 series, static overcurrent relay of РСТ27 series, combined protection relay of РЗК-11 type.

Each of the created products meets the contemporary requirements and exels the existing analogs in their properties. All the items consist of only home-produced materials and constituent parts. New electromagnetic starters ПМ17 are developed for substitution of off-market items which are being used currently in ships and submarines.

The  overcurrent relay of РСТ27 series, developed by VNIIR – Progress specialists  are supposed for  application in land-based and space hardware. The advantages of new relay are decreased dimensions and their weight – it is especially important for space hardware. The main feature of this product is   functioning without external power supply source, absence of limits in work modes at decreased pressure etc. The new microprocessor-based relays РЗК-11 are able to substitute a set of three relays. Moreover the new product is smaller in dimensions, provides protection in three phase mode, and has 1, 5-2times less actuation errors, a widened range and a big number of possible setting values, a possibility of their remote entering and changing.

The enterprise also demonstrated new power supply and protection units of БПЗ11 series supposed for carbody-tanks and box vans of automobile military hardware. In new units the power output is increased up to 1200 W and the output characteristics of DC circuit are improved, the item weight has been decreased for 40 % up to 21 kg. The unit is able to operate with fully dead battery and with phases from external circuit.

The enterprise stand was visited by representatives of more than 40 organizations. Among them there are our old partners:  “Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering “Rubin”, Almaz- Antei, Omsk Production Association named after A.S. Popov and others. During the exhibition there were negotiations with manufacturers of mobile hardware about substitution of off-market power supply on-board equipment with power supply and protection unit БПЗ11 developed by VNIIR- Progress. Summing up the results of the negotiations there are plans for cooperation in the delivery of new equipment.
