VNIIR employee has published a book about semiconductor converters
23.07.2010
The chief research engineer of Power electronics department in All-Russian Scientific Research & Development Technological Institute of Relay Engineering with Pilot Production Alexander Ivanov published a new book in co-authorship – “Control systems of semiconductor converters”.
The monography is the product of work of three authors. Together with A. Ivanov professor, Doctor of Engineering, the head of industrial electronics department in CSU n.a. Uliyanov Gennadiy Belov and research engineer of VNIIR, Doctor of Engineering Alexander Sergeev worked at the book.
The topic of the monography is chosen not coincidentally. One of the key directions of VNIIR activity is automated electric actuator. The enterprise has developed up to 70 % electric actuators for machine tool and robotics industry in the country. Currently the important direction of HV electric actuators is being successfully developed for different industries. According to A. Ivanov control in power electronics is one of the most complicated and dynamically developing direction of electrotechnics, which is of high interest for world scientific community.
The following issues are considered: control system construction, regulating process by different semiconductor converters, also systems of continuous and pulse control of direct voltage. The book consists of two parts and is devoted to open loop control system and closed-loop control system, also control by semiconductor converter of energy. The second part of the book is devoted to pulse converters of direct voltage, used in solar energy, elements of which are planned to be produced in Novocheboksarsk.
«The book materials are generalization of the information of the research conducted in one of the leading electrotechnical centers of Russia and CIS, town of Cheboksary, - А. Ivanov underlines. - the development of the authors were integrated in serial products of many electrotechnical factories of Russia and CIS. The problems of control systems’ development by semiconductor converters are under study all over the world. All mentioned above proves that the topic is very urgent and is interesting not only for Russian, but also for world scientific readership. »
